Erik Alexander, MD

Erik Alexander, MD

Vice President of Education
Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School Faculty

Erik K. Alexander, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and the Associate Dean for Medical Education (BWH) at Harvard Medical School. He also serves as the Vice President of Education for Brigham Health, overseeing all aspects of medical education, inclusive of undergraduate (medical student) and graduate (internship, residency and fellowship) training programs at BWH. He is the inaugural Executive Director of the Brigham Education Institution (BEI), an entity launched in 2016 with the goal of building community among health care educators and enhancing system-wide growth and translation of leading educational science.

Tom Nantais MBA

Tom Nantais, MBA

Retired – Executive Vice President of Adult Ambulatory Operations
Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Thomas Nantais concluded five years as Executive Vice-President for Ambulatory Operations at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in May of 2023 leading transformative initiatives that bolstered ambulatory services and elevated patient care. He notably expanded clinic visitations by over 30% through strategic “hub and spoke” model implementations, enhancing access to multi-specialty care. Nantais prioritized patient satisfaction, elevating Medical Practice scores from 49% to 86% during his tenure. His leadership also fostered operational excellence, notably through initiatives like the Paperless Clinic Initiative and the quarterly Patient Care Center (PCC) GoalFest. Under his stewardship, VUMC achieved Ambulatory Nursing Magnet Status and made significant strides in Patient Access Services. Prior to his tenure at VUMV, he served as the CFO and COO of Henry Ford Medical Group.

Teresa Duran is an award-winning technology executive recognized for advising and leading companies through significant transformational change and modernization strategies across corporate and non-profit sectors, from Fortune 100 to mid-sized companies. Her expertise encompasses emerging technology, revenue growth strategies, risk management, and customer retention.
 
With over two decades of experience in technology, Teresa has held pivotal roles as a CIO and Head of Technology on three occasions across different industries. In these roles, she provided comprehensive oversight of the entire technology domain, leading successful business transformations, developing digital and data strategies, and driving innovative product development and new business models.
 
Currently, Teresa is the CIO and VP of Consulting for Unify Consulting, a board member for Change, and a board advisor for Clinician Nexus and Agency Cybersecurity Inc. 

Tom Yackel

Tom Yackel, MD, MPH, MS, MBA

Chief Clinical Excellence Officer and Vice President of Clinical Excellence
CenterWell Senior Primary Care Organization

Tom Yackel is the Chief Clinical Excellence Officer and Vice President of Clinical Excellence at CenterWell Senior Primary Care Organization, where he leads national efforts to advance clinical quality, safety, education, and specialty care for older adults. A board-certified internist and clinical informaticist, Tom brings over two decades of leadership experience in academic medicine and value-based care delivery.
 
Prior to joining CenterWell, he served as President of MCV Physicians and Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. He previously held leadership roles at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), including Chief Health Information Officer and Value-Based Care Officer.
 
Tom earned his medical and public health degrees from George Washington University and completed advanced training in medical informatics and business at OHSU. He is a board member of the ACGME and a former national chair of the AHA’s Committee on Clinical Leadership.
